Weekly or bi-weekly team gatherings, one-on-ones, shared meals, and moments of prayer & reflection are not luxuries. They are the foundation of a healthy team.

Churches that run their staff purely on productivity metrics may eventually burn through people. The goal is not output alone. It is a team that is spiritually grounded, relationally connected, and continually motivated.

Address Dysfunction Quickly

One of the fastest ways to erode a healthy culture is to allow dysfunction to linger. Unresolved conflict, unclear roles, and unaddressed performance issues create an environment of low trust and high anxiety. Staff will take their cues from what leadership tolerates as much as from what leadership teaches.

Healthy culture requires the courage to have hard conversations early, often, and with genuine care for the people involved.
